The Akire of Ikire land, Irewole local government in Osun, Oba Olatunde Falabi has joined his ancestors at 91yrs.
The announcement was revealed on the official social media page of the All Progressives Congress,APC, chapter in Irewole Local Government on Monday.
According to the statement, the monarch died on Saturday, February 28,2026. The announcement formally informed the public of the ruler’s passing and prayed for the of his soul.
According to the statement, “This is to formally announce the Passing of our dear Kabiyesi, Oba Olatunde Falabi, Akire of Ikire land last Saturday February 28 2026. May his soul rest in peace !.”
Further details surrounding the circumstances of his death and burial arrangements are yet to be made public as of press time.
