The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recgonised the National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and headed by Abdulrahman Mohammed.
Mohammed and the party’s Acting National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, are among the party officials participating in the commission’s first quarterly consultative meeting with political party leaders.
The meeting is meant for only national chairmen and National Secretaries of all registered parties recognised by the Commission.
AFRESH247 recalls that the Federal High Court in Ibadan had directed the commission to recognise the Abdulrahman Mohammed led caretaker Committee as the authentic leadership of the party.
