The All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders of the Osun West has come together in respect of the 2027 upcoming election in alliance to strategize and also targeting over 2million votes for the presidential election.
The Chairman of Osun West Senatorial District, Honourable Akintola Omolaoye decleared this on Thursday in Iwo at the party’s stakeholders meeting, held in other to solve all disputes among all the members of the party, stating that the meeting is to fast track all the activities of the coming election.
He also said the meeting is to strategize and ensure a win for all the party’s candidates in the presidential, senatorial, house of representatives and houses of assembly election and all the stakeholders are on the same page.
“Today we are holding our stakeholders meeting, not only that, particularly to fast track all activities for the upcoming elections, especially for the early election of President Tinubu under the state coordinator of Ademola Adeleke.
“Also to fashion out ways and means how to ensure that other candidates of our party, in the respect of senatorial seats, house of representatives seats, house of assembly, constituency seats are won under the platform of APC in Osun State, especially in Osun West Senatorial District.
“And this is our take in today’s meeting, to ensure that four stakeholders in the party are on the same page and align together for victory in the coming election” Omolaoye said.
Omolaoye also declared that APC will do all it takes to deliver over 2million votes and that is one of the purpose of the meeting and the stakeholders are working hard towards it.
“We are targeting between 1.8 and 2 million votes in Osun State for all our candidates, and by then, by the grace of God, our candidates on the platform of our party, are expected to be leading and to win as that” he affirmed.
The stakeholders at the meeting declared that the party has one candidate for the senatorial seat, three for the house of assembly and nine candidates for house of representatives from the district.
Also speaking at the event, the candidate of Osun West Senatorial District, Akin Ogunbiyi said that all the stakeholders are working for the success of the of Presidential campaign council and with the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who declared his support for President Tinubu.
“We are ready to work to ensure the success of the President, and to support the campaign council for the president under Governor Ademola Adeleke, because there is a reason why the president selected him and we do not have any opposition to that” Ogunbiyi said.
He also stated his assurance for all the party’s candidates to emerge in the coming election, saying that the party is already collaborating with other political parties for the presidential election and that will play a role in the senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly candidates.
“I am very confident, no rigging, nothing, organic votes. we have to collaborate with the other political parties. The only collaboration that we are having to be able to deliver for our president. But when that is done, we will have a massive chance for all other candidates of the party” he said.
