…inspects Ajagunla radio, road project, substation site
The lawmaker representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Fadeyi Ajagunla, has announced his bid to run for another term in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing newsmen during inspection exercises held in Ila, on Friday, Ajagunla expressed optimism in the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 15 gubernatorial election in the state and also the general election.
He said, “I’ll use this medium to announce that I’ll be running for the senatorial seat and I know my people will support me.”

Ajagunla, who inspected various projects, including the Ajagunla Radio, Araromi Road, and substation, said the projects serve as a testament to the fulfillment of campaign promises.
According to him, you know every town has its own dialect, and of course, where I come from we speak igbominos and our progenitor is Ajagunla and during my campaign, I promised my people a radio. So this radio station will promote culture.
“This area is called Oke-ejigbo, a part of Ila Orangun the road has been neglected for over two decades and now we have made sure that it is motorable.
“You remember I was. In the PDP before now I am in the APC, now I am back home, you know in Ila Orangun and we are progressives, and once we go for election the result is 100% APC I can assure you that.”
While speaking at the substation, he stressed that the project became necessary to make electricity available to the people of Ila and the six local governments in the axis.
Meanwhile, High Chief Paul Ogunrinade, Ejemu of Ila Orangun, stressed that the road was already in a dilapidated state, noting that the intervention of the senator to construct the road came at the time.
Also, a resident of the community, Dorcas Abebi, who spoke in the Yoruba language, expressed gratitude to the senator for constructing the road stressing that the road will boost the economy of the area.
